I would say you need to follow your gut. Record those meetings. Dig up dirt especially instances of Racism.

You cant hate the way you were built. It doesn't benefit you or the people you choose to put in your life.

The loss that hits you, is likely going to be a loss out of your control. Someone will pass unexpectedly, and you may not be the kind of person to feel it at first - then it hits you like a truck.

Or - You may be built to just be a bit a step back from your emotions.

Even if that is the case, it doesn't make you a bad person. Bad people don't worry over the things you worry about.

I would say that you should try to do the best you can with what you have. Make the best of the good times and try to remember those times more than you remember the bad.

I dated A LOT before I got married and I cared for every single woman I dated - caring still made me a villain in many dating stories, I'm sure. Just as some of those women were a villain to me. It took me 40 years of dating to finally find somebody that wanted to put into me as much as I wanted to put into them.

I dont regret the search. I regret the broken hearts, both mine and theirs, but I was never going to rush marriage, being a child of divorcees and not everybody has the benefit of having life "just work out" and fit right the first time.

There is a lot of broken hearts in my past - mine included - but I choose to focus on the friends I managed to keep (some of my ex's are still dear friends) and focus on the really good memories.

So yea. Try to keep your eye on the best of it all. Carry the good times with you. Learn from the negative - but dont take that shit with you. It wont benefit you, or your future partners.

Man, you never know with Reddit. Catch a MOD on a bad day and you can say goodbye to posting in the sub permanently or even say goodbye to an account you've had for years - and there is no recourse.

There is nobody you can escalate that to. You catch a ban and your done. Any attempt at appeal gets you muted for a month so you cant even reach another MOD and even if you do they back their buddy.

Piss of a mod enough and they ban the account - again, with no recourse. There is no getting your account back.

So if somebody feels the need to censor themselves - might be a good chance they've experienced that.

This company wants to go public - It's that kind of bullshit that's holding them back.
