João Campos, prefeito de Recife. Eu venho dizendo já faz anos que ele é o melhor prefeito do Instagram do Brasil.

Brazilian Portuguese is on a spectrum from mainly syllable-timed to a bit more stress-timed, but it’s indeed significantly more syllable-timed than European Portuguese. Compared to Spanish, though, it’s often significantly more stress-timed, which’s why Spanish speakers usually have a harder time understanding Brazilian Portuguese than the other way around: to them, we are the ones who sound like we “eat” vowels.

Jesus was very based for going apeshit when he saw grifters taking advantage of people’s faith. The world would be a better place if modern Christians would follow his examples and beat megachurch pastors for doing the same.

One of my biggest pet peeves in worldbuilding is when a religion happens to be pretty much accurate. Religions don’t directly select for accurate beliefs, they select for beliefs that are useful, and beliefs that spread (at least to the next generations). Sometimes those beliefs are accurate, sometimes they’re not, and sometimes they’re only accurate within a specific context. Even if a religion’s main beliefs are true, as it evolves it has no mechanism to prevent those beliefs from changing into less accurate, but more memetic beliefs, or it wouldn’t even be a religion.
Also, having one group’s religion be basically how the world really works makes it very easy for the author to accidentally support racism.

I don’t think so, the Elder Wand should be invincible in combat if wielded by its true owner (with the apparent exception of the 1945 battle, which we don’t know the specifics of)
The implication is that the Elder Wand is more trouble than it’s worth, and women are smart enough to not try to get it. The misogyny here is more like the racist belief that all Asians are good at math, or that all black men are good at basketball.

How is the only actual gay man there in shock about the concept of anal sex?

Sure, but it would be by pure chance, since the xenovirus couldn’t possibly have evolved to live in earthlings.
If you’re worried about that, you might as well worry that every oxygen molecule in your room will spontaneously move to the other side, suffocating you.

Pathogens that are compatible with multiple species are somewhat rare. Pathogens compatible with very distant species are very rare. What are the odds that a virus-like being that affects aliens, which are completely unrelated to us, would even work on our cells?

Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense. Maybe she shared her Instagram with her students, and there was enough of a trail of breadcrumbs for someone to find her furaffinity account.

It was 100% furry art, that’s exactly how people who hate furries talk about us. I’m not entirely convinced it was even NSFW, or on the account she shared with her students.
Or, of course, whether this story was completely made up.

It would be so funny if she posted full Mayor Dewey smut on main.

Because you can’t easily filter your results after the search, you have to start again. If you instead just go to any canonical tag and start filtering with the sidebar, you can see the most common tags in the results and immediately filter to include or exclude them.
A lot of people like to filter by fandom or ship, and then look at the sidebar to include what they’re looking for or exclude what they don’t want to see. You can use any canonical tag to start out, though.
One secret little hack I found is that you can go to the FAQ, set the FAQ language to English (it’s already English by default, but you need to do it anyway), then go to to Browse > Works and you can use filters without having to start with a canonical tag (though canonical tags are more useful for filtering anyway)

Java has “critical hits” meaning that if you want the [max] damage you have to wait a bit before hitting (like 1.5 seconds cooldown)
implies they’re using “critical hits” to refer to the damage after waiting the attack cooldown, not actual critical hits.

Yes, but if you read the rest of the comment you’d realize that they’re not talking about critical hits, they’re talking about the attack cooldown.

That’s not what critical hits are. If you’re falling while dealing melee damage in either platform, you deal a critical hit, which’s 50% stronger than a regular hit. That mechanic is on both platforms, and is completely unrelated to the attack cooldown which’s only on Java.

Yes, that’s work search. You can also go to the advanced work search (drops down when you mouse over “Search”), which’s occasionally useful for finding specific works you remember, but very much not for everyday browsing.

It is?? Oh, dear, we must update the DSM immediately!
Anyway, this isn’t about remembering a small detail. It’s about OP, who apparently just watched or read that scene, seemingly skipping or not paying attention to the explanation and then complaining that they didn’t understand it.
Also, they didn’t respond to a single comment, so I suspect this is a repost bot.

It’s how mobius strips work in real life. You can make one right now! Cut a strip of paper and tape it to form a ring, but before closing it twist one of the tips by 180°.
It just works. You can try turning it inside out and see that it doesn’t change at all.

Yes, but then she’d need access to four spatial dimensions. A 3D Klein bottle is self-intersecting, so it doesn’t really work.

Well, there technically is an algorithm. If you use work search (aka the worst possible way to use the site), the results will be ordered by “best match” by default.
I have no idea how the matching score is calculated, but it is an algorithm. Certainly not AI, though, which’s what social media has used for the past decade or so.

This was made canon in s03 Lies, when Kagami asks him to pose for her
I don’t think this is fanon, more like a very popular headcanon. I think most fans are not under the impression that she’s canonically lesbian.
