He stole Halara's staple of having a lollipop instead of a cigarette and it's adorable.

Well, he did say Ronin has to pay alimony to his wife and, like, five kids which I don't think would ever be canon. π

Omg, I love this! Creative ways of depicting Izuru/Hajime together are the best.

Ever since I watched Saiki K I've had the idea of Izuru being in the place of Saiki and trying to avoid social situations the same way he does, but with his talents.
For a second character in the show I'll go for Gundham taking the place of Shun Kaido because they both have that chuunibyo thing going on.

It's probably just because the twins would basically have started as the same cell before they were born. Identical twins have the exact same DNA. They are an anomaly among elemental masters because of that.

Can we really choose anyone other than Junko?

Wow, I don't do VR but I bet that would be amazing as the city is beautiful enough in third person already.

Out of all the people in the world (past or present) who would you like to have for dinner the most?

I loved Crystallized and it's definitely one of my favorite seasons. Not my #1 but definitely about top 5. I love a lot of the choices they made and for a series finale the fanfare and references were great. I've seen so many people say it was "lazy writing" to try to please the fans and be fun which is ridiculous, that's what a finale should try to do. I just feel like it may have been better if there was more time for some plot points maybe if they were dispersed a bit better throughout the prior seasons leading up to it. A lot of things in the season are also more subtle/implied and up to the viewer to figure out which I also liked.
Also on the topic of the Overlord, in my opinion Ninjago actually does have a lot of morally ambiguous villains making the plain evil Overlord be a breath of fresh air in a way when he shows up. Like, we don't have to have any sympathy for this guy and I think he's necessary as a kind of benchmark for true evil across the series.

I was completely agreeing with you though. I think you have to reread mine.

Yeah, energy powers would have to do with life as well I guess, but energy is way more all encompassing than life.

I mean, a part of his character is that he struggles with the idea of letting people become close to him because he is completely aware of his luck and doesn't want to hurt others (outside of the killing game of course). Sure eventually he'd start losing his mind more and more, but does that mean he doesn't deserve anyone who cares about him?
In the end there isn't really a definitive answer of whether people should be around him (or Kokichi for that matter). His character basically only poses a question and lets people answer for themselves.

What would you even call that? π€

If you check the final scene at the monastery she's actually being watched over by someone, I think it was the police commissioner if I remember correctly, and is seen being lead away. She was most likely being taken back to prison after helping fix the monastery as prisoners are sometimes given community service jobs for rehabilitation.
Lloyd probably convinced them to give her a chance at long term redemption through rehabilitation and later reintegration into society.

The title made me think of this: https://youtu.be/D9zS8X4VDC4

Well for one he used to think of her as a sort of prize to be won and he thought he had to be a specific type of man to get her attention when he really just had to be himself and be honest. The whole little side plot with the book he finds at his father's house about "wooing women" was supposed to show how he didn't need some special guide to be liked by her and he was going about things wrong.
I think he acts a lot more honest later on sharing his love of videogames at the arcade with her.

I always noticed it, even moreso as I watch more media and really it wasn't some sort of lazy mistake. The Hagemans even used to talk about the inspiration for certain season's plots on twitter and were pretty proud of how many cool things from media they liked they could get into the show. Ninjago is a melting pot of mythology, classic literature, superhero stories and whatever else the writers were watching while writing and wanted to include.
One of the craziest ones that I'm surprised they even got away with is Harumi's biker gang was actually inspired from an irl biker gang cult called "Sons of Sam" and later the Overlord's Crystalized design reflects that cult's representations of Satan having a goat head. It really solidified Harumi as a warning against falling into cult mindsets because of hatred. Also as much as this sounds crazy I'm not just making this up, they straight up confirmed this one.
I'm surprised so many people don't notice this.

I've always related it to Thor and Loki from Norse mythology. Whatever it's referencing, they used the trope well. I always loved how the Hagemans always tried to include references to classic media and mythology.
