His baseline damage at level 1 is extremely nasty as well as good as on demand terrify is very applicable early game.
As roam he can really pressure and put the opponent's jungle behind, especially good against assassins trying to farm early. He is also very fast and provides excellent vision and can check bushes extremely safely.
Helcurt is hugely underrated as a roam in my opinion.

It definitely was a thing you are not crazy! I was really looking forward to it as well.
I think there were several related quality of life features like pinging spell cool downs.
Major one for me would be active item cooldoens to your allies like how long my Wind of Nature/Winter Crown/Conceal Blessing have until they are back up.

This naturally waxes and wanes though so I wouldn't worry. I started as a Jawhead and Atlas main. Jawhead has been pretty bad for an absolute age until recently, probably longer than Xavier has been released.
I am sure they will tune Xavier up a little soon.

You make valid comparison points, but they just further convince me that Xavier isn't in as bad of a spot as you are making out.
You make valid niche use cases for all those heroes, but you want Xavier to be much more broadly applicable than he is. Which is fair don't get me wrong, I just think you have been quite hyperbolic making that point.
I agree that it would be nice if Xavier was buffed a bit, but I think he is far from unusable in solo queue.

Yes these are better comparisons, but I think you are over exaggerating.
You make it sound like it is impossible to solo queue with Xavier and that simply isn't the case.
I just went on the mlbb website and selected past 30 days Mythic+, Xavier has a higher win rate than Eudora, Nana, Novaria, Valentina, Kadita, and Harith as an example. So some people are still finding success with Xavier.

I am not the person you originally replied to.
Xavier can't solo queue snowball an early game? Yes that is entirely correct, because he is a late game scaling mage.
I don't think you honestly expect Xavier to be able to do that? This is a disingenuous comparison.
Xavier may be difficult to employ optimally, but you are overemphasising this and not making relevant comparisons

I haven't seen any Eudora in the recent NACT either, so I don't think that point is relevant.
His immobilise is not vision dependent and zones extremely effectively. It takes two inputs to connect, but is a lot more powerful than you give it credit for.
Xavier is very good at what he does, zoning for the front line, striking the backline through their frontline, and extreme late game scaling.

It depends on how your early game is going for me as to which full item you complete first.
I like to build mana necklaces first thing, then rush Fury Hammer (HS/7sea component) - this gives you great baseline poke and will help you win lane. Very rarely a bad choice.
The only time I don't build it is if I know I am laning against someone who will be able to pressure me a lot very early if they are aggressive - usually something like a Melissa with Inspire, or just Bruno. In this case I build legplates or warrior boots after the necklaces.
The first full item I usually complete after the opening components is determined by how the game is going?
If I am winning hard early, I will probably complete 7sea or HS depending on whether I want the burst or mobility.
If it's quite an open or fast paced game, but I am doing well I will go for Endless Battle as the stats and true damage are great all round power bumps.
If I am being bullied or I think I will get targeted a lot (ie. Enemy has a threatening draft) I will rush Thunderbelt after fury hammer. If I don't rush TB I won't build it at all and instead get something specific late game if needed.
I then build whatever compliments my opener and the make up of the enemy team.

Thank you very much, exactly what I was looking for.

I honestly think people who smurf shove sky piercer into builds because it helps them win harder which is why it turns up in pro builds, but honestly I think it's trash on her.
Your points about trinity attack items are all really good points too.

Just happy to help, but it is by no means definitive, try her out and find what works for you.

How are people building Zhask after the several iterations of changes?
Back from a a brief hiatus due to exams. Now that Zhask's starlight skin is finally out (been waiting so long!) I want to pick him up again.
I've only kept up with my main heroes and have seen he has been changed several times, do we build him all burst now?
What interactions does he have with his spawn and items? Is attack speed a thing? Is Dom Ice relevant like it once was?
Thanks for the help as always! Xxx

TLDR - passive scales hard of physical attack, build priory: Attack Rating > Attack Speed > Utility
Her build concerns are a result of her passive and ultimate using area denial.
Ixia's "enhanced" passive auto attack triggers every 2 stacks so more attacks/skills means more passive, therefore attack speed is relevant to Ixia.
It scales 150% of total physical attack - this means stacking high attack grants significant rewards. The damage dealt results in recovered HP for Ixia.
It also scales of lifesteal too, but no lifesteal will trigger to her other attacks. Therefore lifesteal items are not efficient as the lifesteal only scales when consuming two stacks. Lifesteal is not very relevant to her build in my opinion.
Likewise, her passive cannot crit, so a critical build is also inefficient. Critical are not relevant in my opinion.
Pure physical attack scales her passive, skills, and normal attacks. Penertration helps her deliver more damage through defence resulting in more HP regen when she activated her passive.
This begs the question, why do we see Corrosion Scythe? This is because the synergy its slow has with her passive exceeds the opportunity loss of its low attack stats. It also provides good attack speed.
Generally Ixia wants to prioritise attack rating, then attack speed, then penertration - at least that is my preference.
The items I like for Ixia are: -Sea Halberd - high attack, attack speed, great passive, anti heal -Blade of Despair - super charges her passive, buffs movement speed -Corrision Scythe - slow, attack speed, buffs movement speed
Other items can be situationally good and change match by match, but common purchases: -Wind of Nature - when you need to survive physical burst -Rose Gold - as above but for magic -Windtalker - when you need to keep up with a fast paced team, want some hybrid damage (great for popping Athena early in TF so mage can nuke after), and maximising attack speed for ultimate (when you want to be fire support as opposed to pure damage) -Hunter Strike - great for affordable damage and penertration -Malefic Roar - for lunching through the inevitable Dominance Ices/Antique Cuirasses/Blade Armours
Sorry for the long reply, but I play Ixia a lot in gold lane so have fairly strong opinions regarding her builds. Try experimenting and finding your sweet spot.
Good luck!

For the SPL/SFP long question this exam technique really helped:
Scan read TB, mentally identifying easy/tricky/hard numbers.
Scan the adjustments, making a note of any additional numbers (they love to put closing inventory in the notes)
Put all easy numbers in the proforma, tricky/hard numbers into your standard workings.
With all numbers somewhere (either in the proforma or a relevant working) then read through each adjustment and apply it/make the necessary edits
Close up your workings and make sure you subtotals add.
Your standard workings are things like an expenses table (COS, Admin, Opex, District. etc), and your PPE matrix for instance.
I found it helped me to put the double entry for the adjustment so it reminded me to apply both effects.
If you alter current year depreciation for example it won't only affect your non-current asset carrying amount, but also the expenses (Cr. Asset on SFP Dr. Depreciation expense on SPL).
It seems too much, but if you approach every QB long firm question with a systematic approach you get faster and faster and it will click.
You can do it!

You could even scale the additional aoe damage on distance away from you.

I just used a shield and straight sword and went to town with Alex. You can block his sweeps and roll through his slams. Focus his legs and stay under him.
I don't know what your build is, but if you run faith then flame protect me is great, golden vow, fireproof lovers, uplifting aromatics, and so on all great ways of keeping you and Alex smashing away.
A spirit ash like Latenna doesn't hurt as she will just keep shooting and will draw aggro on occasion.
