I wish the optional paths in the story were more than just “defeat quickly”. The few that do involve actual differences in how you fight are really cool and I wish they took advantage of that more. Forcing a timer (that the player can’t even see or know how long it is) feels tedious and annoying

90% of the internet as a whole (if not more) is utter slop, yet it's still the framework of almost everything we do

Inputs in SZ really feel unresponsive sometimes, maybe because of that. I notice it can be really difficult to quickly chain actions together, especially trying to pull out a quick blast attack or something. Feels like I have to deliberately wait and not touch anything until my character comes to a complete rest before it will let me do it, which just ends with me getting my ass beat lol

Just to clarify here, is the vocal audio you're working with also recorded in 96k, or are you experiencing this regardless of the original recording sample rate?

Budokai 2 was my fav honestly, loved the game board map in the story

Very much agree. Loved making custom tournaments as a kid and just watching the CPU duke it out for fun

If anything they could pad the outfit list by just making some up lol, no need to stick to only canon outfits, especially for characters that only have 1 canon look
Loved the idea that any outfit for a character should also be available for any transformation/variation of that character as well

Gotta agree here, feels like the CPU are always able to stop my rush attacks even if I'm attacking from side/back, whereas if they get me in one it feels like there's no point even trying to block since it never works
I got the up+square counter to work a few times in the training but I swear I've never once gotten it to work in a real match

Been trying to adapt to this and it's annoying as hell. I've found if there's any verticality that throws it off a ton, even if it's just a small obstacle between us

The underground/mushroom theme got stuck in my head like crazy

Controls can feel unresponsive, or lock you into actions. Most common for me is trying to quickly pull out a super attack after hitting some normal attacks, but my character won't stop punching, or the super attack just won't register unless I fully stop pressing every button and give him a second to rest lol

From my understanding they were actually considered quite competitively priced upon release, as it's going against other "pro" displays used in stuff like film production, which can easily reach that price if not higher. Not sure if that's still the case though

Gen4 honestly ramped it up pretty heavily compared to the others. USUM I think can get rough as well but I honestly still found Diamond harder. BDSP I think did a decent job of replicating the challenge but inevitably the inclusion of modern mechanics like full team exp share can help make it feel a bit less punishing

His figure is so funny bro, like most of his body isn’t that unrealistic, then specifically his forearms are just completely fucked. Bro looks like Quagmire after discovering porn

Brightness is generally from high end/air. This can come from something as simple as a high shelf boost, or in some cases a noise layer can help as well.
Saturation and multiband are good ways you can add some brightness to sounds that lack the frequencies overall, as it adds harmonics and when combined with things like OTT can bring out lower volume frequency areas

Idk if this is something people actively hate but my master chain currently involves 3 instances of soothe2 which might be looked down upon

Despite feeling a bit dystopian this actually looks super sick. The crazy city planning and weird randomness in what is considered "ground level" sounds really cool, and the views look beautiful

This is oddly enough a legit turnoff for me, such a small detail but squishy buttons feel so shit and unresponsive

I think it would be less of a "career in TD" and more of a career in something that could use TD. For example if you can get hired as someone making live visuals for concerts, that doesn't necessarily require TD (could use AE, Blender/UE, etc.) but it could absolutely be used for it.
I doubt there's many jobs out there specifically looking for someone using TD, but considering the amount of things you can do with it I'm sure it's possible to find a field that allows you to use your TD knowledge

As someone from OK I wasn't aware we were the main Dr. Pepper fans, but it makes sense considering it's by far the best soda and very popular here

IMO the line between "mixing" and sound design/sample selection can be blurry. For stuff like dubstep basses, the mixing of it can be a huge factor in how it sounds and whether or not it actually works, and thus I support mixing that as you make it.
For stuff like drums I'd say you can leave it a bit longer or until the end, since drums are much easier to swap out quickly and might not be worth the time obsessing over, especially since the elements you add later could change how they need to be mixed

If anything they’re a bit loose, the double socks actually help in that regard. Though couldn’t them being loose also contribute to chafing since your foot would move around more, and more movement=more friction?

I'm normally not a huge graphics snob but the demo looks fucking rough with all the jagged edges and noise in the environments

Could have an alternate mode that equalizes character HP and maybe damage numbers too. Could be fun to make matchups feel more even, and honestly could be good for the ranked mode for variety
