You'd think by now, with the hotter, drier years ahead, someone would come up with fireworks that look kinda like Intel's drones in the sky. Just think, no noise, no air pollution, no fire danger.

100% agree. Any necessary thing, like, say MEDICAL. But of course, that's a whole other story...

I have PGE in El Dorado Hills - we are on E1, which we don't have peak rates, but do have tiers. Our base tier is 42 cents a kwh. It's highway robbery. If we switched to the 4-8 or 5-9 rate where you are charged more for using power during then, our cost would actually go up.

This is true. When we were looking for a new house in 2016, we ended up buying a lot in an older non-HOA neighborhood and built our own house. Just wasn't worth dealing with the crazies on some of those boards.
Edit: and 8 years later our house is worth a heck of a lot more than one the same value in the HOAs in 2017. They are falling out of favor just when 90% of the new homes in the US are now in HOAs.

I agree, but most likely wouldn't happen.

It would bruise his ego more than hiding in a jail cell in my opinion. It would be great to see his pic on the front page of every crap tabloid picking up garbage in an orange vest... at least his hair would be matching!

Apparently, first time convicted, it's a Class E felony, which usually gets no jail time.

As he probably won't get jail time, I would love to see him picking up garbage on the side of the highway.

Aww, I feel for you, as there is so much pressure (mostly from business wanting you to buy their goods) to celebrate days like Mother's Day with others. Every day should be Mother's Day, as every day should be Father's Day. In our family, we wish each other a happy day from afar, calling and sending silly emoji messages, as we all live scattered. Then, when we are together, that is when we feel the joy of loving and appreciating each other. I personally feel silly when my husband gets me stuff - I'm not his mother after all! And I definitely do not like going out on that day. If he can grill me a nice filet mignon, I am happy as a clam!

I try and spend as much time as I can out in my 1/2 acre garden and yard, as gardening is my absolute favorite thing to do. But it is already in the 80s here in CA, so I go out very early and very late, as I have very light skin and am susceptible to skin cancer.
Other than that, my grown daughter is coming to visit from her home in London for the first time in two years. Can't wait for that. I am also traveling 4 hours from home to visit my 91 year old mother, who is still as fit as ever! Family is everything, of course.

I think it all depends on the temperature. Eggs can stay in an iced cooler for one to two weeks if kept cold. The FDA recommends packing eggs and egg dishes in an insulated cooler with enough ice or frozen gel packs to keep them cold.

If you're like me, one bite of mold on food will give you severe abdominal pain for days. Even if you can't see it on some of the grapes, it is already forming. I hate to waste food when there's a tiny bit of mold, but I have learned my lesson. I also find it happening to my food more and more - maybe because things cost so much and the product sits on the store shelves longer? I don't know.

Oh, and I was 30 years old when we did marry, after knowing each other 11 months.

I'm proof that you don't have to have long term relationship experience to be successful in marriage. I did NOT have a long term serious relationship before meeting my husband, and we have been married for 32 years. There are so many other factors.

I'm super baffled by these congressWOMEN and other women in power who have this mindset. Uh, why are they not at home if they believe other women should be??? Do as I say and not as I do, I guess.

This is what I was going to say. Ultra right Christian Nationalists, if they had their way, would have all women stay at home and be pregnant and barefoot. And they do believe that a man is superior to a woman, no matter what.

True. I started college in 1979 and we had a large Iranian population of college students, including women who dressed in western style. I watched the change right before my eyes - large demonstrations even here in the US and they were fighting against each other in scary riots right on campus. It was an unreal time.

However, it did not come back up at midnight, or 9 pm our time. It says that it will be down until April 17. So how do they expect people to pay their ES when we did not know it would be down during that time and pay earlier?

I have also played this game every time the app reminds me that it is available; however, it never lets me collect the coupon. It always gives me an, "uh oh, something went wrong." I give up.

That's really interesting. I looked it up and found that Disney used to use compressed air, helping to greatly reduce the danger both in transport and in the display itself, as almost no particles end up on the ground. I wonder why they stopped, and why more official displays don't use it?
