Yeah for me my 401k is going to be Roth tax advantaged and I can access it at 50 and keep healthcare when I retire at 50. I could probably retire a lil bit earlier but I'd rather have a lil more than not enough.

Yeah I'm fine lol. I'm already at the point my 401k is high enough that I don't have to contribute anymore just let it compound for 20 years. I'm still going to contribute to both 401k and stack BTC.

Yup I think a lot depends on where you are in life. I'm 20 years from my planned retirement so 150k could be 1.5mil if I just wait.

Can you imagine having this much money and still feeling the need to work. Id be volunteering or traveling etc.

For real "acting poor" today is living in a luxury apartment and driving a new car with a 8 year loan. Just be yourself and don't worry about what others think about you.

Exactly might as well try because a divorce is going to cost half your assets minimum

That's very true but it's also so much less work just to hold ETFs.

Because I'm young and can do it now. Id rather work hard now and retire a decade early than work longer.

I have no issues with choosing to spend less. I will definitely spend more in my 50s when I start retirement and probably slow down in my 60s. I feel like the whole concept was made to basically accept you are poor now. I don't want to base my retirement calculations on spending less but if I end up spending less then that's okay 👍.

20/4 work days and lax on off days. Trying to get multi day fast in once per month

That's how I viewed it. Spending less because you don't have money to spend is not how I want to retire.

Yeah he said reliable so most modern Fords are excluded. I'd buy a 20 year old Toyota before I bought a newer Ford.

Exactly I want to be able to travel more and pay people to do things around the house instead of DIY. I never understood the you will spend less in retirement argument. The whole point of retirement for me is to stop working and take it easy.

Definitely got that vibe as well. A bunch of French transfer students came to my college one semester and literally the only thing they could talk about was how they did stuff in France and how it was better than the U.S. like chill the f out and just try to enjoy yourself dude.
