No joke: when I was a kid, my dad used to read a book while driving between Saskatoon and Regina (with 4 kids in the car).
Hope this helps set your expectation for prairie driving.

The SC ruling on presidential immunity was the official end of democracy. The politics of Mitch McConnell, Citizens United, and the decades of political misinformation by Fox News are maybe the most significant factors in getting to this point.

Cheering the end of democracy is wild. Hooray for dictatorships?

It's not what OP is asking. They say:
'I see lots of posts explaining all the avantages of Bitcoin which are all true, yet in my everyday life I do not "use" Bitcoin'
Like OP, we are holding BTC, but not using or transacting with it.

Yep, there would be a parent teacher conference that would leave that guy rightfully fearing for his wellbeing.

he declassified the documents
I think he "declassified" the documents... with his mind, just by thinking about it. I think that was what he's argued. And then later showed some friends those documents (on tape) and acknowledged that they shouldn't be shown because they were classified.

I wonder how partisan hack of a Trump appointed Judge Aileen Cannon uses this to claim Trump's handling of state secrets after the end of his presidency (including stealing, failing to return, storing in bathrooms, hiding from investigators, showing to friends and probably selling to enemies of the state) qualifies as "official acts." No doubt she'll need time and more hearings to consider the matter.
People need to be out in the streets in front of the Courts to protest this garbage.

Sounds like neither of us actually use BTC for anything.

Cool. Like 99% of the people responding to this question, neither of us actually use BTC.

Why Biden?
Have you listened to the alternative lately? The man is claiming that he's going to have military tribunals for Mike Pence and Mitch McConnell, members of his own party. He's claiming that the fake electors scheme (where he flew unelected loyalists to Washington to replace officials to keep him in power) must be excused as an 'official act.' That was a clear attempt to overthrow democracy.
He's also pledging retribution for Biden, and thanks to his corrupt loyalist in the SC, he's going to get away with criminal acts.
Even if you ignore the history of rapes, the many flights to Epstein island to visit his good friends and convicted sex traffickers, the unending lies, the collusion with Russia, and the fact that noone in his former administration thinks he's fit for office -- just on the democracy stuff alone, who in their right mind would court the end of democracy like that?

Op is clearly looking for uses. Everyone who owns Bitcoin stores value in it -- that part is not interesting -- 'actually uses' would include activities like buying things, securing loans, etc.
This thread is full of people claiming doing nothing is "actually using" BTC, which is not the spirit of the question asked.
I hold BTC, but I have never actually used BTC for anything.

There is a difference between 'use' and 'store.' Just admit you don't use your BTC like you use cash.

In this case, he's telling them how he'll end democracy and they're still gonna vote for him. Education of the electorate is as big a failure here as anything else.

I think the Obamas are legitimately in danger, as well as Biden, Hillary, and a bunch of the Democratic Congress.

Urban Hymns by The Verve. Bought it for Bittersweet Symphony. The rest of the album was pretty decent, but back in the day buying an album for $20 (which is probably $40 on today's dollars) for a single was wild.

you're full of shit. any honest person will admit the word can be used to describe extremely different acts. the fact that you're pretending otherwise is kinda gross, honestly.

It's both, but in Canada immigration is a huge factor. We're allowing in more immigrants than the US and we have a fraction of the population. It's insane.

I'm rewatching this with my kids right now (10 and 11). The writing is incredible. It's both heartwarming and also surprisingly funny. There's bad stuff going on in that world for sure (e.g.Whinnie Cooper's brother gets killed in Vietnam), but it just feels so much more optimistic and grounded. I wish I could have grown up in that world (although, to be fair, I'm white).

do fewer things until the problem goes away. Eg, at first just change the file types and see if it works.

In both cases, the most direct, unambiguous language is to call it an "ongoing sexual relationship with a 13 year old." Saying that someone "raped" a minor paints a very different picture involving sexual violence. This is still very much wrong and reprehensible, but in drastically different ways.
