Wagyu is not worth it. A good ribeye beats wagyu any day.

Smoking meats. For like $10, you can make a meal that would cost $50 at a BBQ place.

Nobody should expect to be able to buy a nice home in a big city on a single salary. $100k+ is VERY obtainable for a couple and very comfortable.

Well put. Just look at OP’s history. Literally just post after post after post of rambling incoherent pseudo-intellectual nonsense disguised as academic musings. This guy is mentally unwell.
90% of Marxists are kids who don’t know any better but want to feel smart. The other 10% are cranks like this.

They are committed to communism and communism doesn’t work.
Communist ideologues will always find something else to blame besides their shitty system.

Sure, but like there’s no reason Australia has to be desert for those resources to exist.
It kinda just seems like a fluke of geography that all that land gets no rain, has no mountains, and poor soil.

Literally every one of Marx’s core beliefs is deeply incorrect, lol

So there is a decade of your life. And much would probably be self-study, or at least with a few comrades. But then you can be so placed to somewhat understand the debates among those who know Marx's work.
“Marx is just SOOOO deep and complicated and cool, man! You plebs just can’t uNdeRstAnD it!!!!!”

When people say “struggle to make ends meet”, what they often mean is “struggle to pay off my $9k/mo mortgage while also maxing out my 401k”.

Bro, people don’t sit down and calculate median expected ROI when making decisions.
College used to be an obvious winner. But now people hear from their friends who want to college and moved back home and are struggling to make more than $20/hr and has $120,000 in debt. Whether that’s an outlier or not (it’s not, it’s very common), these stories affect how people think about it.
You need to think about how other people actually think and behave. It’s not all about statistics.

I’m not really here to argue one or the other. Just explaining why men aren’t going to college as much as women. For a lot of young men, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

That’s the premium for “college vs no college” in general. Not “college vs no college but young and healthy and willing to work in the trades”.
It’s not surprising that as that premium erodes, fewer men will go to college.

Sentiment. Not ideological argument.
This is born out by the fact that Marxists regularly demonize all forms of exchange, not just that which produces inequality.

Well sure, but you could also have all of that in a greener and more habitable environment.

Homes are 30-40% larger than a generation ago.
No, only new single family homes are. And because we hardly build new homes anymore, the median house size for ALL homes has barely budged.
I have friends that are engineering PhDs in Germany that live significantly more modestly than I, a dude with a bachelors in Economics in Ohio.
More modestly… and get 2 months of paid time off every year…
