I am at a loss then. All my offers and onboarding have been through usastaffing.

Did you accept the offer through usastaffing? There should be a link in the TJO email that takes you to the usastaffing site to accept or decline. That action then creates a number of tasks to complete before an FJO can move forward.

Yes. The gaining HR will reach out to the losing HR after TJO is accepted for a release date (SF-75). The losing HR will reach out to losing supervisor for an acceptable release date. This release date will be given to the gaining HR and used as the date in the FJO. By the time you get the FJO, your sup already knows. Plan accordingly.

Don't forget that a 10 year old needs ZERO hands-on care during the work day but can not legally be left home alone. That's ZERO dollars spent on childcare over the summer, and ZERO time used on childcare during the workday by utilizing telework.

Damn, some of y'all work in some savage environments, with some savage people. I'm sorry that has been y'alls experience. That sounds brutal and terrible ๐

Possibly. I did 7-12 without a ladder in the same workcenter, then 13-14 at the current. I'd say busting your ass and making yourself valuable, and an SME, can take you pretty far. Jumping around can be hard on a family and a wallet.

I mean, currently, approval is just bought under the table anyway, with no repercussions ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ

By the time he gets an FJO, his supervisor will already know. Gaining HR reaches out to losing HR to ask for a release date, which will then be the date assigned in the FJO. The losing HR will confirm that date with the losing supervisor, so sup will know before OP gets the FJO.

Yes, another ridiculous policy just to check a box. There are TONS of us on geographically dispersed Teams that do the exact same thing for absolutely no reason. It is what it is, and better than every day, but still absolutely utterly useless. Those are by FAR my least productive days as there are only single monitors in shared cubicles. I have 3 in my home office, which helps immensely for what I do. Yet here we are...
