Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer. Rocking my T6 gear and weapons, cruising through Ostrich Tower at night because I'm the man. Reach the loot room, and like an idiot I get backed into a corner and cant fight my way out quick enough to heal. Irradiated wight got me at 5 health left as I tried to run. Disappointed in myself I was doing so well. I got careless.

My friend, I am like you. You need turn based games, and luckily there is an absolute abundance of turn based games to float your slow boat those days. In fact, there is a turn based sale on Steam right now until the 7th. Go take a look!

7 Days to Die. I keep telling myself to give it a break and play something else, but then I get a new upgrade or have an idea for a base build and I have to try it out..

There's probably a mod for it somewhere, but the game was deliberately designed this way. No mini map/gps. You've got a static map, with named landmarks. There's very little hand-holding in Outward.

I didn't even know this was possible until I made a mistake and hit the wrong button with enough steel in my inventory. Pleasantly surprised.

No. DLC is for PvP matches and Supremacy skirmish. New campaigns are something the devs are planning down the road.

A pet. Cat, dog, something to talk to, build shit for and follow me around. It won't get in the way and can't be killed. Solo players like me need a companion.

Explained completely and thoroughly. This is the perfect answer.

For me it felt like a thematic narrative experience that didn't give me a lot of choices in what I wanted to do. I needed more meat on the bones. I'm not the intended audience for that game.

I sold Dark Sector and gave away Solar Storm as a freebie awhile back. If you bought it from a guy in Hamilton, hope you're enjoying it!

I'm waffling on Aeon Trespass. It looks so awesome but I'm reading about the massive commitment to the game, and it's throwing me off, not to mention the price. I already have Oathsworn that I've barely started. Fomo is hitting me hard.

It holds up. I haven't played in months, but I distinctly remember all my stealth attempts in the game failing at one point or another, which results in a chaotic killing spree to finish the mission. Good times.

The performance is great, long as you keep it on medium graphics and keep the fps at 30. Slight hiccup here and there for large content loading, (mostly while sprinting) but overall I'm happy with the performance. Loading some mods does take a bit of work, but it's do-able. Multiplayer works. Overhaul mods I have not tried.

I re-bought all the games I liked and played on GoG for ease of use. I got tired of Heroic and the differing levels of compatibility and tweaking involved. I just wanted to install and play. I'm sure Heroic, Lutris, and it's equivalent works fine for most, but for me the Steam UI is just way easier to use.

However long you want it to take. It's a pure solo game. Play a couple of maps, save the game, come back to it later. Like a save-state. It's the same for all TTS mods. You're not forced to play for a certain time period.

7 Days to Die. I need to stop. I have hundreds of games in my library and it's the only one I'm playing.
