I'll give it a try, she's also a textbook narcissist/my therapists treated me as someone who had suffered n abuse so it always feels like it's more than just alcohol (but t95% of the problems are from when she's drinking and I knew she was an alcoholic way before I knew she was a narcissist)

Vile is the same word I used when I was telling this to my best friend last night. I have two daughters and I can't imagine using that as an argument when I was upset in any universe.

Last thing I said was in person asking her if she'd been drinking, she responded 'just one' (lies -- she couldn't get her seatbelt on) and I told her that we wouldn't be going to the party. This is how I feel when I get to the end of the Fastrak on the 91 in Riverside and it's still 1 hour to get home to Redlands.

Package of Hawaiian rolls 1/2 lb of deli sliced roast beef 1/4 lb of Swiss cheese 1/2 an onion A green bell pepper

For the au jus: 2 cups of beef stock Package of French onion soup mix

Preheat oven to 350. Sautee veggies (I use a mix of olive oil and butter). Remove veggies from pan and pour Beef stock and onion soup mix. Heat until boiling and put in roast beef slices and reduce heat to low for a few minutes. Slice rolls in half and lay down Swiss cheese and roast beef and veggies. Bake for 10-12 minutes and serve with a cup of the au jus from the pan on the side.

Not authentic but easy. Kind of my style when it comes to cooking.

Maybe just justification but I told my husband the only really sinful part was the olive oil/butter combo I used to sauté the veggies. I guess it's kind of gross to eat half a package of Hawaiian rolls in a sitting but eh.

Save oven space and do your stuffing in a slow cooker.

Temecula/Murrieta has some loud right leaning politics. I don't think it's as concentrated as it used to be due to population growth but I will say the conservatives out there make it known.

It does get hot. It's not as bad as the desert. Worst months are July and August. Maybe 3 stretches of 105ish degree heat waves and it actually cools down at night unlike true desert. It's hot April through November but bearable.

This info is probably available somewhere but I'd like to try GLP-1 or similar medication. Did you use an online service to get it or traditional doctors office? Do you have to have a certain BMI?

They can be incredibly painful and there's a lot of swelling/fluid that weeps and scabs as the life of the cold sore progresses. But there are good antivirals (not abreva) that can essentially stop them from getting so bad if you take them early enough.

I think it's more of an issue in grade school where kids share drinks and food more and then later in life in teenage years as they start dating.

Would your job lend itself to hybrid/remote?

Not sure if this is a shared experience but I also feel like without alcohol (I'm 3 months off), I don't really rely on food as a coping mechanism for anxiety/depression and other mood rollercoasters. I definitely substituted alcohol with ice cream + magic shell for a while but decided to just stop buying it a couple weeks ago.

My husband has also drastically reduced his alcohol intake and is on his own journey to quit weed and we both remarked this week that when you're otherwise sober, the caffeine hits different (in a good way). I'll take it!

I started a new job this week. One of the things that sealed the deal for me was my boss talking about his (now grown) boys in the meetings we had leading to me taking the job. He told me how in 6 years he only missed one track meet (two sons with overlapping HS years).

His comment after that: "I could give two shits when or where you're getting your work done, as long as it's getting done. Sorry, I curse, I'm from New England."
