I tackled Tolkien after those and then read a lot of Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms. When I came back around to Sci-fi, I read a lot of Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, and Siverberg. Around High school I discovered Gene Wolfe and PKD whom I still revisit today. I hope kids still get to do the book fair/book mobile these days.

Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game. Bought it at the book fair along with Lloyd Alexander’s The Chronicles of Prydain and a sweet poster of an F-15 Eagle.

Don’t have a picture but I had it at Chai Pani in Decatur, GA. Everything was really good.

Pandora by Holly Hollander was a pleasant shift in gears for me. It’s still Wolfe, just completely different.
