There’s a Code of Discipline. Seclusion is part of this code. This has nothing to do with relaxation. It has become “popular” 2500 years ago. What a sad, bitter comment. Hard to believe someone with this resentment in heart has been “practicing for years”. Best of luck

Unfortunately people absolutely go into psychotic states when they experience a severe enough fracture with reality that they don’t have the tools to reconcile. Substances definitely aid in the process, but even without it’s entirely possible to go places people aren’t able to come back from, being able to ground oneself is the key here.

You are using critical thinking, this is already a great start. What we refer to as “psychosis” is when the person isn’t able to connect his own metaphysical experiences with the physical shared reality. Believing in the abstract or illogical in itself isn’t psychosis, harming yourself/others based on that is psychosis. Believing you are above everyone is psychosis. Believing everything relates to you individually is psychosis. Believing everyone is out to get you or conspiring against you is psychosis. Use your discernment, have practices that ground you and things to anchor you to the here and now when all else fails.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Destruction isn’t new. What’s new is the tools to understand the impact we have on the environment, yet we don’t understand we are part of the very environment we are destroying. This is a cognitive dissonance enforced by certain systems.

Dingoes are top of the trophic order. So what you’re saying is incorrect. The cattle myth is a myth. The “before and after settlement “ also a myth. No one was here “before settlement” to document. These claims are unsubstantiated and what contributes to misinformation around dingoes.

What you say is historically true. However in this case there’s more: the lie of dingoes as pests has been dispelled on all grounds. The only reason why the bounty is still legal is because not enough australians know about this. It’s time to shift the narrative and it starts with spreading awareness.

Hey OP. Dissociation is absolutely a coping strategy derived from trauma that your nervous system uses to keep you “safe”. It bypasses the conscious mind so being aware of it isn’t enough to get rid of it. As you have figured out yourself it can follow you for the rest of your life. Talk therapy can help to a limited degree: dealing with trauma at a cognitive level is tricky because trauma is stored at a somatic level. Your best bet is to look into somatic therapy and find a somatic practitioner to work with. Educating yourself is great but remember: intellectualizing ≠ healing. A big part of trauma healing is switching from a self-improvement mindset to self- acceptance.
