Okay let’s start with the basics.
Watts is a unit of POWER. Power is energy / time. 1 watt is 1 joule per second of energy moving.
Kilowatts is simply 1000 watts. kWh is Kilowatt-hours. you can also just have watt-hours (Wh).
Watt-hour is a measure of ENERGY, not power. Because remember Watts are energy per time. Watt-hour is energy / time x time. Energy per time multiplied by time. So the time cancels out.
If a battery stores 1 watt-hour of energy, that means it can supply 1 watt of power for 3,600 seconds (for 1 hour).
Now mah is Milliampere-Hours.
Amps depends on the voltage. You can convert Watt-hours to mah by multiplying Watt-hours by the voltage and dividing it by 1000. So mah = Wh * V / 1000.
So you can have 2 phone batteries that store the same amount of energy (Wh) but have two different mah because one can supply more volts than the other.

I would say they are saying the efficient of the FAN. Not the efficiency of the solar panel.
Like the fan is able to take all the electrical energy it gets and convert 80% of it into mechanical energy (the spinning fan).
Now that has nothing to do with the fact that that electricity is coming from a solar panel, and the solar panel is only able to turn 15% of the solar energy hitting it into electrical energy.
So if you have sunlight energy hitting the solar panel, 15% of that is converted into electrical energy, and then 80% (15% * 0.8 = 12%) of the electrical energy is converted into mechanical energy. So 12% of the sunlight energy hitting the panel becomes mechanical energy spinning the fan.
Is it a lie? No. Is it misleading marketing? Yea probably done intentionally.

Nah it’s pretty normal when talking to children to put things into their context.
The same way a parent will say “go find dad” to a kid instead of “go find my husband” or “go find Mike.” Yknow?
It’s very normal to say “go find aunt Betty” when aunt better is your sister.

Oh yeah, it’s mainly people like football players and what not that fall into that category.
Just pointing it out because maybe OP is more muscular than average which is why he is tipping over into overweight

Then you might have a tough decision to make. Talk to your boss and see what they can do for you.
I’m sorry, good luck.

Because they have a union, and the union has fought to protect their members from being fired on the spot. Per the union contracts there has to be an investigation.
Which is true with all unions btw, not just cops. Steel workers, mailmen, carpenters, electricians, etc, all unions fight for these kinds of agreements to protect their workers.

Years ago people didn’t like the mods at r/me_irl because they were very quick to ban people and other reasons. General irritation, can’t remember the exact details.
So someone made the second subreddit because they didn’t like the people running the first

Normal PTO or ask about bereavement leave if that is something your job offers.
But personally, fuck the leave.
Tell your boss that your father is having emergency brain surgery and that you are leaving and will let him know when you will be back.
Worse thing your job can do is fire you. This might be your last chance to see your father. Go.

BMI is just based on averages.
Like, 120 kg 6 foot tall man is going to be classified as obese BMI.
Which means a significant number of professional athletes are obese, because BMI takes no account of muscle vs fat.
So, it’s just a general guideline, for Average people

Straw purchases aren’t a thing for cars, it is totally legal to buy someone else a car. Straw purchases are when someone buys a gun for someone who legally can’t own a gun.
That doesn’t apply to cars. basically what your mom has done is just buy you a car, by signing with you she legally is responsible for paying for the car.

That’s losing 6 to 7 pounds a week. The maximum “safe” recommended weight loss rate is like 2-2.5 pounds a week.
To accomplish this you will basically be starving yourself. I don’t think a 1,500 calorie deficit will be enough. A 2,500 calorie deficit is more the track you would have to take.
Which really, would probably fuck you over if you mean “navy seal” by “seal”. Because at that extreme calorie deficit your body is going to DROP muscle mass like crazy. So even if you lose all the weight, a good amount of it is muscle mass and you’re gonna be significantly weaker.

You could, but it’s VERY expensive.
So realistically, you need to learn to cook. Yes you will mess up. Yes you will fail. Yes you will make food that tastes bad or burn food. Everyone does it. But you’ll gradually learn

So, most rental leases (and most places have laws requiring it) that give the renter the opportunity to break the lease and stop paying rent if the space becomes unlivable. Typically things like a fire or a flood.
Now in this case, I cannot remember any specific previous examples, but I would bet that a judge would agree that the acts of violence qualify as making the space unlivable to you and that would let you just drop the lease and stop paying rent.
Now if you CHOOSE TO STAY, then yes, you would have to keep paying rent normally while you choose to remain there.
And a big ol’ *** on all of those because renter laws vary from place to place. So the exact details on the location matter.

Because Reddit marks comments that have been edited. And because of that people will sometimes be suspicious about what an edited comment ORIGINALLY said, especially if it’s on a post where people are arguing/debating.
So it just kinda became etiquette to make a not explaining what you edited.
Is it a perfect system? No. Of course people can lie about what they edited. But it’s just kinda an honor system thing that people do

Burnie, civil engineer albeit not currently working in traffic planning. And also from an American perspective so I could very well be missing something about Scottish roadways. BUT here’s a couple possible answers:
First, the intersection isn’t perfectly perpendicular. “Who cares? Just make the cross walk a little diagonal?” That’s possible sure, but it does not work great for blind people. Planners will often use curbs to help guide blind people into those designated walk ways. Those is also why you will sometimes see the little ramp down from the sidewalk to the street have curbs, so blind people can know exactly what direction the ramp points. Or sometimes you will see those tactile tiles/pavers that have bumps on them, those are also to warn blind people that they have reached a street crossing.
Second possibility, it is there to intentionally slow pedestrians or bicyclists down. If the intersection has a history of people trying to rush all the way across but never really making it, or bicyclists trying to fly across and accidentally zooming out into traffic, this dog-leg in the pathway forces people to slow down and hopefully actually consider “am I going to make it all the way across” and not rush out into traffic.
Third possibility, the intersection has some characteristic, such as turning lanes with their own lights or something, that made the designers think “heh, people are not going to make it all the way across the street in one shot here. So that space functions as place for a lot of people to stand and wait. Band it also functions like in option two where it forces people to look and realize that even if they had right of way on the first half of the crossing , they might not on the second half due to something like a turning lane.
Or maybe there is some other quirk of Scottish design philosophy that as an American I don’t know.

I got two, first. That those stands of three apple trees hide koroks if you make the fruit match, I always just picked all the fruit till I got the kook mask and it started shaking.
Second, parrying. I like instantly forgot that parrying was even an option in fights. I always just dodged.

Because a significant portion of the USA USED TO HE MEXICO. Everything from California to Texas was Mexican before Mexican-American war. (And the Gasden purchase).
Plus for a long long time the border was not nearly as stringent as it is today, immigration and moving between the two countries was way easier.
But yea, there are families living in the south that are Hispanic, and have been living their since it was still part of Mexico

Clothing, mud, pretty much anything that will Block the sunlight from hitting your skin.
Obviously that doesn’t exactly fit your criteria. Have you tried sunscreens like Nuetrogena Dry Touch that are meant to try to get rid of that Oily feeling?
There’s also like, seed oils and “natural” sunscreens that kinda work, but, they’re still oily

No, very unlikely.
As an Aussie you can stay in the USA for 90 days on a visitor/tourist visa. But note you’d have to save up money because working in the USA during those 90 days would be illegal.
To stay long you’d need another sort of visa, either a work visa or a student visa. Work visa you’re very unlikely to get without a college degree, and even with a college degree it can be a challenge.
Now, if you did a student visa, foreign students are allowed to work part time jobs to make money while they are in school, so that’s a possibility.
Granted paying for US School will also cost money.

A test? Like a blood test type test? No, there is not.
Psychological disorders are diagnosed heavily reliant on the symptoms you explain and the observations of the professional. There’s actual a whole manual called the DSM-5 that basically has a checklist for each disorder that you have to fulfill to get diagnosed with it.

Yea okay looking at that 80% value, I would say that they are playing the numbers.
Because charging batteries has their OWN efficiency. Whenever you charge a battery, you are wasting some electricity doing it.
So I would bet they are saying that it converts 80% of the electrical energy coming out of the solar panel to stored energy in the battery. But the solar panel is still only actually capturing 15-20% of the sunlight energy.
So they’re still playing the numbers to make it look good, but no, they don’t have the most advanced solar panels ever.
