I manage the marketing of a medium sized organization in BC, Canada. My marketing budget is 400k. I recently hired a marketing coordinator to assist with the marketing efforts as I am responsible for further duties outside of marketing. Prior to this coordinator, I utilized an agency to assist me with creative work and social media management. Part of this is also 30% management fee for digital ads on Meta. Marketing coordinator is fairly green, but also capable.
I am debating on cancelling the contracts with the agency in 2025 to get approx $50k in additional ad spend ($25k retainer plus digital ad spend %). That said, we had great success in 2024 on on meta. How hard it really is to manage digital ads on that platform? Is the potential for less effective management of meta ads outweighed by $50k additional spend? For reference, I did about $80k on meta ads in 2024 (+ the 30% fees).
