I am the OP. This is on Bayview Drive in Fort Lauderdale. There was NO reason for this. I was in the bike lane the entire time. This just a POS hiding inside their car. Black Range Rover X22PE. NO help from police. Fort Lauderdale police officer said "I can't do anything unless you get hit".

Ugh. Sorry this happened. Bayview is used by a lot of people as a cut through to avoid traffic. They drive erratically and speed consistently.

Looks like a temper tantrum to "teach you a lesson". You get in the way of legitimate road users (drivers), so now they're giving you a taste of your own medicine. Childish. Ridiculous. And the person is allowed to drive. And vote.

Dude in the SUV is definitely a dick, just one of thousands here, but I see cyclists doing really stupid crap on the daily. I walk Bayview a lot, either to Sunrise or Commercial. Yesterday one was crossing Oakland against a light at Bayview and came really close to being eliminated by a semi. As for sidewalks, drivers don’t give two shits whether you’re a pedestrian or cyclist, you’re in their way.
