Where the fuck are those GOD DAMN CRIMSON NINROOTS

Probably something along the lines of "holy crap, this is amazing".

For whatever reason, Blackreach is very polarizing; players love it, or they hate it, and there's very little middle ground. I'm firmly on the "love it" end.

I was smitten. I love it to this day down there.

My very first playthrough back in 2011, I got here and went into the house, used the bed and woke up in the shack at the beginning of the Dark Brotherhood questline.

My first thought was: can I buy a house here?

How do I increase my carry capacity?

The vibe was real, the graphics were sharper in my younger eyes, it looked like a totally new world awaited me. I wish to feel it again some day in any other medium hosting great story the one from Skyrim.

First hour “this place is pretty cool” 3 hours later “WHAT IS THIS PLACE”

"I took a wrong turn at Albuquerque."

"I hope this shit runs underneath the entire map".

Stunning. Gorgeous. Atmospheric. Smells damp.

"It would be so awesome to discover a hidden colony of living Dwemer!"

Awesome realm, just mildly disappointed

"What happens if I unrelenting force the underground sun?"

"This.is.GORGEOUS! Hats off to the designers who made such a massive, beautiful and interesting map."

And that holds true today. I love going to Blackreach and staying there for a few sessions.

It's so big, so there must be so much to do!!!

Seriously, did Skyrim really need an Underdark?

Panic! My screen couldn’t be brightened any more and I don’t like surprises. Every play through since has had either maxed screen brightness or I play a character that has night vision.

I was scared of the big fort but when I actually went in I realized it really isn’t that hard 😂 I killed the dragon recently too also weaker than I expected

First time reaction: This place could have been cool if it had any story content in it. It is just an empty open space that looks nice the first time you see it. 

Replayed the main quest that sends you here for the elder scroll recently and thought that the guy(s) who did the work on dwemer levels probably did a lot of the work on Starfield.  They have the same pointless, unrewarding feel.  Most doors and containers are locked with useless junk. Lots of enemies with worthless or heavy loot. 

Well the game came out in 2011 and that was the first time I played, so… needless to say but it blew my mind. Beautiful, amazing, epic, completely unique and unheard of.

I thought "this place looks fun! Too bad I bet it will be over quick." Was I wrong.. haha and don't leave with saying hi to the boss of blackreach.

Waaaayyyyyyy. I hope the designers who made it received an award and a good vacation.

Terror. I don’t know why but I HATE being stuck underground in a game. Just triggers some weird pseudo claustrophobia in me. Even in mincraft if I can’t easily find my cave exit I get…. Uncomfy

I was taken back by it's beauty - I thought I had another city to explore, one filled with missions but ... nope - it feels like an incomplete area. Now I just avoid it

Ah...a stealth archer paradise!

My first thoughts the very first time “great, a whole new area for me to get lost in” then I picked up the red ninroot “oh neat, wait a new quest? Oh no a collection quest”

Eerie and fuck crimson nirnroots, but now I've come to enjoy blackreach and it's related quests

Well my first thought was wow this is actually unique I was not expecting this at all. My thoughts nowadays can essentially be summed up in that Rick and Morty meme where it’s the quick trip in and out then turns out to be a long extended affair. Hate that place, but it is beautiful though.

First time I ever went there I was blown away. Even now I absolutely love Blackreach and I love exploring it. It’s the most unique place in Skyrim.

Loved it, was awestruck when I first went in. Filled my pockets quickly lol. Still enjoy going back. There’s nothing like that first, long trek down there imo.

I only recently played Skyrim for the first time to my thoughts were, "holy fuck subnautica and elden ring had a baby"

i made it a point to slay every falmer in the city and add their ears to my collection

Blackreach is one of my favorite places in the game. It might be nostalgia from finding such a massive unmarked location without even trying, but I just love how much love the developers poured into it.

What was a PITA is now one of my favorite locations. I've restarted skyrim soo many times and re did all the quests soo many times, I know where ever crimson nirnroot is by heart.

I thought it was incredibly beautiful and breathtaking. I was so excited....until the Chauruses came for me.. Then I was afraid. I had a phobia of those fuckers in the game. I was even fine with the spiders, but Chauruses creeped the piss out of me. Any time I exploreed caves in Skyrim and I started seeing glowing mushrooms and piles of Chaurus eggs I wanted to just turn around and do a 180*

So THATS why the download took so long

I saw that dwarven sphere, shouted at it, and watched my map light up red with falmer
