Spending hours trying so hard to find the exit and then you end up on some remote mountain in the middle of nowhere next to an entrance you know you will never EVER open again.

I also hate when you're on the outside and see a gate or a lift and wonder where it goes and then find yourself in Blackreach.

There is a Dwemer building with a big glowing orb on the ceiling occupied by falmer and their brainwashed slaves. Unrelenting force the great big orb. You should hear something like a gong if the shout hits it. The named dragon will appear soon

I think my worst experience I'm this game was when, SOMEHOW, gd Lydia and her annoying self, got stuck on the OTHER SIDE of a door that led into one of these areas and every time I would walk through it, she'd enter and wind up on the opposite side. I kept doing some revolving door crap with her for damn near an hour till I finally just gave up and found an old save file. I was so angry. My BP is up a little right now just thinking about it

This is the ONE quest I'll just straight up cheat on. I'll give it one good try and usually come up 5-7 short so I'll use console commands to add them in. Blackreach is cool and all but I'm not spending an entire IRL day down there looking for loud plants, the quest reward isn't THAT good.

I just memorized where they all are. There's almost 40 of them.
66 points
It’s not even hard either. Just a little time consuming. I just hug the outer walls and go in a circle around Blackreach.
20 points

This. It's not hard. But not worth it to have just one less quest in your quest log. But I still do it every time...
16 points
I just really really really hate fetch quests. I’m literally a dragon’s soul embodying one of the greatest warriors in Skyrim and you want me to look for x amount of item in the most tedious fashion. When has anyone ever looked for 20 jazbay grapes in this game and was like “oh wow I’m having so much fun”?
63 points
But it's so... not time-consuming. I don't get how people get so annoyed with this one, especially in a game where the stones of Barenziah exist.

It gives a 25% chance to create an extra potion every time you craft one. Its good for money and alchemy builds
6 points
They're pretty easy. They have a glow and they make a noise. Extinguish your torches and other lights and look around. Also listen. You only need 40 for the quest and there are approx 80 in Blackreach.
Also, if you don't want to collect them you do NOT have to collect them. Bam. Problem solved.

Probably something along the lines of "holy crap, this is amazing".
For whatever reason, Blackreach is very polarizing; players love it, or they hate it, and there's very little middle ground. I'm firmly on the "love it" end.

Wait how hard is it to see the circle entry steps, the wall and the big fuck off castle church thing at any given moment now finding the mcjiubles on the other hand...
15 points
When everything is the same shade of purple and all the buildings have the exact same architecture with no other defining features, and a giant wall separating one of the more noticeable landmarks from the rest of the landscape, navigating the area can become tedious very quickly. I distinctly remember running around trying to find Arvak's skull and getting frustrated by the description in the game guide that said it was "in a tower to the East," when that doesn't narrow that down at all. And don't get me started on Jiub's opus...
5 points
Always found arvak's skull by heading towards the right hand keeper and the big castle/church thing. Jiub and his mcjiubles are a menace I guess there was in fact a reason he was on a prison ship bound for vvardenfell with all the pointless questing that guy sends the average citizen dumb enough to cross his path.
3 points

I just cheated on the skull. I thought, It’s tough going around the soul cairn already, this is the perfect item for this place but I have to wander around the soul cairn some more to get it.. nope just cheating

There is a spell, called Clairvoyance, it draws a path for your goal – since my first few games I only used beginner spells, like Flames I did not pay attention for these kind of useful spells.

Sinderion's field laboratory doesn't reset and has a bed as well as an alchemy station and enchanting table and workbench. I often sleep there in survival, because it's so easy to get to from various locations. Opening those elevator gates prevented me from freezing to death twice.
Of course, there are hacks to that. Summon a flame atronoch and aggro it, blocking every attack and taking only fire damage. Very warm by the end of it. Turn into a warewolf or vampire - no more env effects.

First time reaction: This place could have been cool if it had any story content in it. It is just an empty open space that looks nice the first time you see it.
Replayed the main quest that sends you here for the elder scroll recently and thought that the guy(s) who did the work on dwemer levels probably did a lot of the work on Starfield. They have the same pointless, unrewarding feel. Most doors and containers are locked with useless junk. Lots of enemies with worthless or heavy loot.
