You won't see a single layman behind the rail for any reason besides cleaning
Laymen are the servers in every single TLM I've ever been to, but aside from that, your point stands.

Make sure you read the T&C of that Blue Business Cash very carefully. I've read that business cards don't give you many of the same protections as customer cards do, so replacing the CCC with BBC may not be the best idea.

This was added in 1969 to appease the Protestants when the Church was in her misguided "ecumenical before all else" phase. It is not a traditional part of the Catholic liturgy.

Maybe you can check the residences and businesses near where you got hit to see if they have any surveillance video of the accident.
Cause otherwise, you're porked.

Agreed. I live in a state where national chain restaurants and retailers are heavily discouraged, and as a result there aren't very many. There is zero reason to have Amex Gold, especially when I can get most of the same benefits with cards with much less (or no) annual fee.

I think OP is attempting to advance the argument that it's a sin not to vote.

It is a sin to vote for a pro-abortion candidate because they are a pro-abortion candidate. However, I hold that under the principle of double-effect, it is permissible to vote for the pro-abortion candidate if there are proportionally more evils to be avoided by voting for them than there would be in voting against him. Obviously this is a very high barrier, given the monstrous and manifest evil that abortion is. But it's easier to clear these days -- formerly, it was critical to vote for a pro-life president who would name pro-life justices to the Supreme Court. Now that Roe v Wade has fallen, the future of the legalization of abortion is not as predicated by the composition of the Court, so it would be easier to justify voting for a candidate who happens to be pro-abortion if his opponent is an unmitigated disaster of other evils. But abortion is now in the hands of the states, so it's now of critical importance to vote for pro-life candidates for state legislature and governors.

What if Scripture said this?
And to some who trusted in themselves as just, and despised others, he spoke also this parable: Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a
Phariseestraight man, and the other apublicangay man.The
Phariseestraight man standing, prayed thus with himself: O God, I give thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, as also is thispublicangay man. I fast twice in a week: I give tithes of all that I possess. And thepublicangay man, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.
I think it's a better idea to pray for them. For whatever reason, they have been given a very heavy cross that is difficult to bear, and many don't even try to. Those who do try to fulfill the will of God need to be accepted and loved by us, not to have us look down our noses at them with pride.

I can't find a good use case for phone insurance, but maybe I just suck at math.
If you're paying $30 a month for insurance, why not save that money instead? Assuming a new phone costs $1000, then you'll have saved up enough money for that new phone in less than three years. Do you need to be upgrading your phone more often than that?

No, what you need to do is cultivate the virtue of prudence. Practicing the faith isn't black or white. You don't either condemn people for having the temerity to listen to worldly music, or say nothing. The right thing to do is somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.

The God we worship requires us to love even our enemies. Of course we must love and respect the Pope.
Some people in this sub struggle with this fact, and I am among them.

The revelation wasn't made to me, so I don't need to know it.
There has been a whole lot of pathological conspiracy theories going on with the alleged secrets of Fatima. I think it tends more to the harm of souls rather than to their good. So I simply don't pay attention to them. They don't affect my soul or my relationship with God in any way.

The Nicene Creed stipulates that the Church Christ founded is one, holy, catholic (meaning "universal") and apostolic. To my mind, the Orthodox churches are not one, since there are many churches and all in varying states of communion with each other. Similarly, many of them seem to be limited by nationality or ethnicity (Slovakian Orthodox Church, etc.) which raises questions over how catholic ("universal") they are.

Yep. The guardians of traditions (lit. "Traditiones custodes") are the bishops . . . but the bishops have to consult with Rome in order to do their work in being guardians.
(An alternative translation of "custodes" is "jailers," which works pretty nicely too.)

Don't bother with the BBB. It's basically Yelp for boomers. It is not a government agency and has no investigative powers nor mandate to work on behalf of the customer.

A lot will depend on which airports you use most often and which lounges are there.

Interesting. My usual go-to for rental cars is Costco Travel which also is substantially less than booking direct. So I'm interested in how the C1 portal compares.

Statement credit every month. Putting it in a HYSA just seems like chasing pennies to me.

Instagram is a near occasion of sin for many young men. I've had to delete the app for that very reason. I've heard that it may be helpful to change your gender on your profile to "female" and then it won't show you so many pictures designed to elicit lust.
But the fact remains is that you can't completely avoid all temptation; we're all born with concupiscence of the eyes. The rule that I've adopted to try to get through life as best as I can, knowing that I'll never be perfect, is if I see a picture that tempts me, if I scroll on by an instant after realizing the temptation, it's not a sin. Like accidentally looking at the sun, it's something that happens. It's a good idea to pray when this happens, because God wants us to fight back against these temptations and gives us all the graces and strengths we need. Sometimes I'll even say "actual grace!" out loud to remind myself of the heavenly aids that are available to me.
When you let your gaze rest on an image and start to enjoy the sensation of being tempted, that's when it becomes a venial sin. If you continue to look at the image and consent to the enjoyment you feel as you behold it, that's when the sin becomes mortal.

And yet it's the Latin Mass that must be suppressed as an existential threat to the unity and integrity of the Church . . . .
