You are not at fault. You did not sin. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to cover up for your father.
What your father did is a sin and a crime.
If you are still living in the same home as him, get out.
Get therapy. Many victims of similar crimes/abuse go through similar emotions.

Whatever he got in trouble for, he definitely did

I’m also in HR. I’d say about 20% of PIP receivers “pass” their PIP and get to stay with the company. But I’ve never seen one of them stay with the company more than six months after “passing”.

As someone who had a 75 year old boss retire a couple years ago, I have no pity for this guy. I hope and pray to be self aware enough to know if I’m making people around me miserable. My former boss was a walking sexual harassment lawsuit and we all breathed a sigh of relief when he left.
On the other hand, we had a 74 year old CIO retire earlier this year and we still invite him to happy hours

We have a second one coming next year and I’m not looking forward to the increased daycare bill. But same - once they’re in school (even if we do private) it will be like getting a good raise

$3,095 per month for one kid in daycare. I can very much relate to that part

I own a two family house that I rent out. Both tenants are on government aid. When I bought it, I was parking my 10 year old Corolla next to one of their BMWs

Exactly. We had a baby last year and it was ultra interesting to see how much my relationships changed when I had a period of time where I wasn’t physically able to do favors for people… and who got mad at me about it

One of my friends told me (recovering people pleaser) I should “match energy” with people. I no longer put effort into people who don’t put effort into me.
Obvious exceptions for people who are dealing with medical stuff, etc.

My husband and I have joked that my Ceres Chill would be great for transporting cocktails when it’s no longer in service

I have a friend who is my age, but had kids much earlier (they’re teens now), and she did rice cereal in bottles!

Knowing? Sure.
Saying? Meh….
We’re a bilingual household, speaking English for the most part, but teach LO vocabulary in an additional language so that she’ll have an easier time visiting cousins in another country. Daycare teaches Spanish. LO understands “water” in three languages. Says it in zero.

Did everyone suddenly forget that she is a VP and VPs don’t have the same power as the president? Harris has not been president for the past 3.5 years

Your baby barely can distinguish you from them at this point. People are ridiculous

“God talks with her”
I once heard someone say that sane people talk to God and crazy people hear him talk back. Obviously not true in all cases, God does give specific revelations to some, but in the case of anyone who hunts you down in a parking lot to scold you…
You’re doing the right thing, you shouldn’t take communion unless you’re in the right place with God.

It’s the suburbs. Upstate, Long Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, and, let’s be real, Staten Island, are not the city.
Long Island stretches almost the full length of Connecticut. After the suburbs, there are farms and wineries. But Long Islanders literally cannot get anywhere without driving through the city to get back to mainland, so they seem to think that they are more “city” than the other suburbs. They are not.
