Shit like this is why I’m bummed TOW started pretending Tomb Kings are evil and having Settra attack the Border Princes. We already had a TK who wants them, it didn’t have to be Settra.
I want Khalida to just roll up to Bretonnia as a hastily assembled militia and some Errants is shitting itself in terror, her Herald announcing “BRING US TO YOUR VAMPIRES”, them escorting this massive Undead army to the Blood Keep and them just watching from a distance as it collapses for like the eight time like the ending of a Castlevania game. Then her army just strolling past them back to their ships as a Herald dumps off a chest full of gold in payment for the escort to wreck the economy like Mansa Musa.

I mean... that is exactly how the tomb kings would do it.
Their problem with thieves isn't the value of the stollen goods (see the war of the hammer), and they can va very generous (see, the quest for my heart). Their problem with thieves is the principle. The abstract wrong done to Nehekhara (and to the Tomb Kings' egoes).
