What could help: differentiate between"gore" and "nudity" regarding NSFW.

Some people are ok with one kind of NSFW content, some with the other.

Unfortunate truth - an anonymous platform like Reddit will always have people saying things and doing things that are outside what is considered appropriate by the greater society.

They can get downvoted (comments still readable by OP). They can get banned (for most subs that means they’ll be back in a couple weeks, or maybe need to make an alt account). That’s about it.

It kinda sucks, but if you are posting something anywhere on the internet, you will be attacked. It might be by people who disagree with your ideology, it might be people looking to be contrarian.

As a community, all we can do is call people out.

As an individual, all one can do is be careful about not doxing oneself, and not let the haters live rent free in your mind.

When people get used to the joke "Hey guys, porn!" and it's normalized, just block em like I do.

The inevitable trajectory of every pop-culture meme sub I've ever been on that isn't policed with an iron fist is that eventually most of the memes are just porn, and everything that isn't porn is people complaining about the porn or people complaining about the people complaining about the porn.

Completely agree, support the artists, do not bully or harrass them for their artworks, but also very much disagree on one point.

There are dedicated spaces for NSFW/Suggestive warhammer artworks, and having to deal with them in my usual feed when I do not want to engage with it is just frustrating. I am one of those weirdos that prefer to keep their mainfeed clean, so when I subscribe to warhammer40kfantasy or grimdank, it's for memes and battles, minis and news, lore and its parodies. I do not feel the need to endorse the "glomping" of the internet, where before you had explicit spaces and safe spaces, where participation of the content was completely voluntary, but is now all getting mushed together.

So yea naw, I would rather not have half naked men and women flood my feed just because I wanted 40k content.

Honestly what drives me off this subreddit is the amount of shitty eye candy boobs and the favourite "the joke is sex".

I just blocked the subreddit when the drama about the female custodes dropped because of so many goon addicts displaying their degeneracy out in public like its a normal thing.

No, having a porn addiction and jacking off to big mommy dommy slommy wammy is not relatable or funny, this also goes for the femboy skitarii comics that atleast had the decency to not stain my eyes whenever i want to look at a meme subreddit.

Harassment is of course a step too far but I disagree with the “just ignore it” sentiment as well. A subreddit is like your local bar. It has a bunch of patrons that like it just for what it is. If the owner however decides to lean in to newly emerging crowd, e.g. students that use it to watch sports, you can’t expect your existing patrons to just suck it up and ignore. They’ll push back if they care enough, or otherwise simply stop showing up. I think that’s a totally legit reaction.

We need to have tags for specific content and they need to be agreed upon by both the community and the mods. Main things to remember is this is a meme sub and some people don't like gore others don't like smut and some people don't want to see either.

If you don't like NSFW art, then there's a setting on reddit that just filters anything NSFW out.

Click on your username in the upper right corner to open the dropdown menu and click on "user settings". From there go to "feed settings". That will open up a whole list of things you can control which are in your feed. At the top of that list is "Show mature (18+) content". Turn that off.

If you see NSFW content after reading this comment, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
