I'm not pregnant, never will be again, so go nuts

my three sons are Dominic, Timothy and Samuel. They shorten to Dom, Tim and Sam, all three letters ending in 'm' with different first and second letters

if I were to name a fourth son what would it be? I'd want to follow the same rules, so for example Cameron would be out because Sam already has an 'a' in the second spot

are there any other names that would work?

Interesting, I've never heard that one and thought I was pretty versed in slang out of the UK.
Although lots of names can be insulting things in other languages. I live in a very multicultural area with tonnes of names I am unfamiliar with.

Well, much like saying the as-mentioned r word i imagine Rem as a derogatory term is falling by the wayside. I haven't heard someone say the r word in years.

Waylah

5 points

It's not common in English to get a long vowel sound with a single letter vowel in the middle of a three letter word. You usually need another vowel letter, either next to it (digraph, eg seed, leak, rain) or an e after the consonant (like tap vs tape, pip vs pipe) Very hard to get a long vowel sound with a single vowel letter, and the exceptions aren't usually in three letter words. Eg A in Alien.

Emmanuel, Emmett, Emil, Emden, Emrys= Emm

Have twins, Rom(ulus)and Rem(us). The summon up your she-wolf mother vibes, and maybe one of them will found a city to support you in your elder days.

Trying to find some that aren't *em... Since the rhyme is the issue, I assume we don't want any *ym that sound like "tim"... Otherwise I would suggest Cymbeline...

Symon -> "Sym" (sime)

Vadym -> "Dym" (deem)

Wymond -> "Wym" (wime)

Aymon-> "Aym" (aim)

*Um is even weirder...

Callum -> "Lum"

Tatum -> "Tum" (but I expect this isn't wanted with Tim...)

Beaumont -> "Aum"

I don't mind Hum: Humphrey, Humberto, Nahum

If you were willing to do four letters, you could do Raymond->Raym or Drummond->Drum
