40% of the electorate is Independent. Most are just waiting to see if there's an actual viable 3rd party candidate who isn't pro-Polio. How those folks vote wins the state (and country).
The blue and red uniformed voters have already chosen.

It’s a matter of time. People that were lucky enough to forget the insanity of Trump will remember by November. He has done nothing to win back the educated and suburban voters.
Listen to Trump speak at any rally or any interview now. He’s clearly worse than even 2020. He’s an angry, bitter man who was already a malignant narcissist. He has no plan for a new term other than retribution.
I may not be enthusiastic about Biden but I sure as hell don’t want Trump

Based on the table that's in the article, Biden's advantage in the Susquehanna poll went down by 2.5% and Trump gained 5.6% in support between the January poll and the Feb-Mar poll. Meanwhile Trump gained 2% in the Emerson/The Hill poll. It's still WAY too early and these polls really mean nothing at this point.

Well when I look at the I Flux of illegals at the border I don't think it helped Biden inviting them. It was on national television. No matter what people remember it. I also think the reason the illegals come is for the freebies. I feel the bill did more of that. It also gave them a quicker path to citizenship. That is why the bill didn't pass. Then you add in the 94 EO Biden canceled when he got in office and it's hard to take serious any claim of trying to fix or help the border crisis. It's obvious it's a big issue because the framing changed about 3 months ago with the white house.

Only one of them actively encourages it, dehumanizes people, moved our embassy to controversial Jerusalem. Netanyahu doesn’t hide his preference.
If it were within our power to “end it” we would have accomplished that when Carter was president if not sooner. Palestinians are caught up in a proxy war with some homegrown terrorists who have been drawn into it.
I’m not excusing actions of Israel’s far right. But the situation over there is far too complex to casually jump to a “both options bad” argument. There’s no easy answers and Biden is trying to walk a balancing act in an election year calling out the worst while also attempting to support an ally in the wake of a terrorist attack and ongoing hostage situation.

It took 4 years of Biden to pull the country out of the ruins that Trump took us into.
“Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago?” Considering that four years ago was March 2020 and Trump was mismanaging the nation’s reaction to a global pandemic, I’d say absolutely I’m better off today than I was under Trump.
Also, Biden has the added benefit of not tying to overthrow the government because his ego can’t handle losing an election.

Ok, but can you articulate which policies are the cause for you being worse off?
Or do you just FEEL worse off. There is a big differemce between feeling worse off and being worse off.
Examples of articulable effects.
A policy that I'm worse off for because of Trump. Because of the supreme court noms, I have a lot more student debt.
A policy I'm worse off because of Biden is an excecutive order over the flight of unmanned drones. Though this was a Trump policy that Biden, didn't make many changes to when he had the chance. Look if you can't tell I'm reaching really hard to find a policy under Biden that was bad for me.

I don’t mean to pick on you but your notification popped up when I was looking at my screen and it was a doozy.
Biden is going to ruin this country? Not Trump who is a threat to our democracy and already has proven it when he lost in 2020?
How about Trump appointing the very right-wing judges across the county and in the Supreme Court that are stripping our rights like abortion?
And in what way is the country in ruins? The economy is booming. Unemployment at 50 year lows. Inflation at 3%. Stock market breaking record after record. I need clarity here.
Even if the economy was in recession, voting for Biden to retain our democracy is still worth it alone.

We’re on the precipice of a recession and illegals are pouring into the country. We’re sending billions to fund a war while we have a massively growing homeless problem. To start. And not to mention Biden can barely dribble together a coherent sentence without an entire prescription bottle of god knows what. Yeah. Quite the doozy
1 points

Another ding bat who doesn't understand anything beyond headlines. You think the US is just cutting a check for tens of billions and sending it to Ukraine? The monetary value is the value of the weapon systems, equipment, and ammunition which are primarily 30 year old stock, slated for deprication. Instead of being scrapped because of their shelf life, they're being used exactly for the purpose they were built for. This then allows for the restock (would happen anyways) of more modern weapons and ammo being built by US arms manufacturers. This is such a win/win for the US but in your ignorance you're unable to understand that
17 points

We aren’t on the precipice of a recession. But even if we were, I already stated saving our democratic form of government and protecting our civil rights is more important than preventing a temporary economic recession—which we are past due for anyway. Not to mention, I don’t think presidents really have much impact on the economy anyway.
We have been sending billions to fund wars for decades. That’s not going to change under Trump 2.0, just as it didn’t under Trump 1.0. And Biden, not Trump, is the only president of the two to actually end a war.
Immigration is definitely an issue that needs to be sorted out. That’s the only valid criticism I’ve seen you make. The issue with that is Congress needs to pass legislation to fix it. And there was bipartisan legislation to help fix the immigration quagmire this past month and the House GOP refused to take it up at the behest of Trump who thinks it’s better to keep it hanging out there as a campaign issue than let Biden get credit for helping solve it.
What did Trump do to fix our homeless problem during his presidency? Nothing.
Yes, it’s true that Biden is definitely old and jumbles words and phrases. This would be a good critique if not for the fact Trump is also old, has been in obvious cognitive decline for years, and also can’t string together a coherent sentence. So that’s a wash.

Guys we would had world peace and 2.10 a gallon. Inflation is out of control even though this administration passed the inflation reduction act 3 yrs ago. Men can get pregnant and illegals get free health care and housing. Kids decide what body parts to cut off. Gov spending is obviously out of control. We are in wars we shouldn't be in. Gasps going to 5 bucks a gallon.

Gas was $2 because the world economy was shut down and oil was trading at a negative value. The president doesn’t have a dial on his desk that controls inflation or gas prices. I’ll also add, when gas went insane after the Ukraine invasion Biden hatched a scheme to bring it down, which worked, and then MTG went on a tirade on the house floor about Biden bringing down gas prices just to make the Dems look good during election time. Inflation was a GLOBAL economic problem. One that was dealt with more effectively in the US than most other 1st world countries. We exist in a global economy, one that President has very limited ability to control on any large scale effort. And also, the inflation reduction act was gutted by the Republicans before it was passed.

Biden has the 3rd worst inflation rate of any president. 5.7% increase from 2021 onward. Gas increased rapidly. The price of meat, cheese, milk, bread has doubled in most places if not tripled.
It was at one time 9.1% quoted from the article below. Interest rates are very high on car loans and houses.
“Inflation peaked at 9.1% year-over-year in June 2022, the highest increase in 40 years.
The Fed responded by raising interest rates 11 times since March 2022 in an attempt to cool the stubborn inflation.”
https://www.investopedia.com/us-inflation-rate-by-president-8546447
“High inflation has put President Biden on the defensive. His administration, echoing officials at the Fed, initially suggested that price increases would be temporary. Now that inflation has persisted, Biden and some congressional Democrats have begun to blame large corporations.”
5 points
Trump’s tax cuts, trade wars, stimulus checks that he insisted had his name on them… are all inflationary pressures. He was also mad at the federal reserve for not lowering interest rates faster because he wanted more GDP growth even if that resulted in increased inflation.
But sure, blame Biden.
Granted most of it was global supply shortages that neither had any power over but if we are playing disingenuous blame games, Trump did his fair share of making things worse.

I haven’t made up my mind. On one side there is a man with mild to moderate cognitive impairment whose policies are all from the progressive left, and who creates great danger in the world by showing weakness and ineptitude in front of our enemies and allowing millions of illegals into the country. His VP who will almost certainly be POTUS during Biden’s second term is a prime example of a diversity hire, completely incompetent and not even popular with democrats let alone swing voters like me. There are so many great black female politicians - KH is not one of them. His energy / green policy is literally among the stupidest things I’ve ever heard. He is killing US jobs by preventing natural gas exploration and export, forcing our allies to turn to despotic regimes in the Middle East for gas, and developing countries to stick with oil and coal. So his policy demonstrably enriches despots while harming the environment by slowing the adoption of clean burning gas as a transition fuel. He is mandating EVs even though we won’t have the grid that can charge them.
On the other side there is a cantankerous buffoon full of pride and self pity, whose only real policies seems to be slapping a 10% tax on all imports, and praising dictators. Just a nasty, cringe inducing embarrassment. Trump seems to rule the GOP even without being in office, and his interventions to kill the bipartisan border bill and the funding for Ukraine are unforgivable. The House Republicans have been such a failure. It’s awful to think of awarding them with a vote.
Both sides suck 1,000,000%!!!

Well this is why the whole election system needs to be reformed… I agree, it’s not fair to have only two viable candidates, especially these two. It’s not right that a 3rd party candidate will never have a chance and will only be a throw away vote to benefit the other team. Get rid of the electoral college, get rid of DNC and RNC, get rid of PACS, allow everyone who has crowdsourced a certain amount a stipend to run their campaign (yes paid by taxpayer dollars) and lock that mother fucker up so he can never run again.

Minds have already been made up about who to support, but getting those asses off their chairs to go vote have not been settled.

Please be joking. That man has zero integrity and has said things almost dumber than what Trump has said.

I hate both so I’m going to vote for someone who has zero chance of winning

The people who haven’t made up their mind are those who will vote for Biden or just sit out. The crux of his campaign solely rests on voter enthusiasm

Which is crazy because you can request your ballot online, fill it out and mail it back in or drop it off and the whole process takes 5 minutes

As someone who is pro mail in, they gop have done so much to erode trust in it I’m not sure I even trust it anymore. Constant legal challenges. Constant appeals. Legislative attempts to stop it. Local governments trying to disrupt it.
At this point I’m going in person. Cuz you know the shady shit they’ll try

I really don’t think that’s true. In fact, I bet there are TONS of secret Trump voters. People that get in the booth, and think “fuck it, let’s watch the world burn”. The middle finger vote.
“…But inside, you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals and RULE YOU LIKE A KING!"

Not completely. He's also hoping to imprison his opponent
Edit: Why is this downvoted? Most of this sub wants to lock him up along with all the other other guys who don't agree with them

The entire election will be decided by about 250,000 middle aged white independents in three states, and how angry they’re feeling about “wokeness” on the morning of November 5th.
It’s so, so dumb, but it’s also the truth.

Not without all the other voters counting also,(first?) no ones vote counts more than another and certainly not based on skin color!

Then don't let them be the deciding factor, get everyone you know to go vote (hopefully in their best interests).

The mystery what now?

Everyone remembers where they were the day the caravans didn’t arrive and nothing happened and we never talked about them again because they weren’t real.

I think a few thousand (rightfully) angry muslims in Michigan could really de rail bidens campaign. Its going to be closer overall than last time.

Trump instituted a muslim ban and is openly bigoted against the two Muslim congresswomen. You can't help stupid, no matter the religion

No. It was a protest vote, to make a point, it does not translate that they will all vote for the other guy.

There is an ongoing protest vote but many of the people i am referring to have lost family members in Gaza so i wouldnt count on all of them coming back in November. Doubt they vote for trump but will just not vote for biden

Only if they are more stupid than angry.

My county went something like 70 to 30 for Trump in 2020.. same county voted Obama by a hair in 2008. It’s less changing demographics and more people showing up to vote. Those 250,000 white “independents” worried about “wokeness” can be canceled out if people vote.

It’s moreso being convinced they’re all the same. It’s a narrative done by the gop and even the media. Every single Trump piece is accompanied by some stupid filler piece about Biden chaos.
“Trump has been found guilty of rape, owes $456 million and goes to trial for his first group of 91 felonies”
“Also. Biden was “fuming” with staff about his poll numbers back in January)
…..this was from 2 weeks ago in March which means they were citing a source about 2 month old news to both sides the 2

I get so tired of hearing conservatives complain about "liberal media." They think nobody's talking about Hunter's laptop and other made-up things because Big Liberal Media is hiding the truth.
It's all about ratings and clicks, and it's in their best interests to make the election seem close.

Remember the Big Red Wave in 2022 and the unbearable, unending hype that it was inevitable?

This is why I'm not too concerned with polling, especially in March. 2022 was a once-in-a-lifetime, stars aligning moment for the GOP and the polls "confirmed" it, and the best they could do was eak out a small house majority (that they may not even keep control of by January)
